LOVER, LOVER 06/20/2010First Uncle Kracker steals the Drift Away remix from us back in 2002, now some country clown has done a "You Don't Treat Me No Good No More" remake, even called it "Lover, Lover" just like us...clown. He is trying to hijack what we have rightfully stolen, I can't believe Calliope and Sonia Dada gave him permission. Oh well, it won't deter us from putting our remix of our original remix on "Jaze Reign SE", that's right a new version of it, re-mixed and better than ever! For the record, we recorded Lover, Lover back in September of 2000.
SOCIAL NETWORKING 05/21/2010All this social networking is getting really confusing. Everyone seems to bounce back and forth, reverbnation.com, facebook, myspace, twitter, and now you can update them all from one place and link them up with one another? I built this whole site from scratch and this is getting awfully confusing to me. Makes me want to just pick one and stick with it...but whatever. Peep all the widgets on this page alone...jeez.
MUSIC 03/25/2010Live shows should include a full band this time around. Going to be sweet. In album news, still working hard in the studio, we really hope to finish recording in April...we'll see.
JAZE REIGN SE 01/13/2010We're going to release a special, digital only version of Jaze Reign. This will include some of your old favorites from both Jaze Reign and The Time Has come, but will also include many remixes and a couple of brand new songs. This should be coming very soon, stay tuned!!

ALBUM NEWS 07/10/2009The writing process is going well, working with a new producer from the UK this time around. Might grab some remixes from Funkdaddy out of Seattle. 3 or 4 tracks are done, much more in the making. Should be a good album, stay tuned.
WORDS 02/17/2009How we doing? Just working, how you doing? A couple of more studio sessions and the album should be ready to go, no promises on dates, but for real it's coming.

Skylar Johnson quit J Trey. Rumors have surfaced that he has a huge cocaine problem, he is in jail, etc....but none are true. The only truth is he had a musical vision that J Trey was not going towards so he left. The remaining members are still intact with a few line-up additions planned. We will keep you posted. TOUR UPDATES 05/02/2003Last show we had at The Boheme in Ames was packed. Hopefully even though its final's week we'll be able to bring in a good crowd. The Ames kids were fun to hang with. That show's on the 7th...on the 10th we got a HUGE show at in Sioux City at
The Lewis Bowl in Sioux City. We tried booking them for our original tour but never got in. We are amped to play this venue. If you're down for a road trip hit us up with some comments and maybe we can get a caravan goin' to the west.

Skylar's) birthday. I am old. 26. I feel 50. Eminem didn't get famous until he was 27 so I still feel like I'm not too old to be doin' this. Send me money and I'll call it a good present. Sorry to anybody that went to the West Gym last thursday. Our show got cancelled at the LAST minute. Not our fault. We are very very very sorry if that messed up any of your plans. We'll make it up to you when we get famous, backstage passes and all that.

"The Time Has Come" Tour and all the shows have been dope. We've sold quite a few CDs at each show. We won't know the exact total since we have so many copies floating around in Brick and Morter stores. Please support J Trey by buying a copy of

"The Time Has Come", now you know. That's about the only site update I can think of. The tour is going great. Every venue we do asks us back and every place we go we get new fans. Davenport was fun...we met a local group that opened up for us. DJ Mixin' Mel helped us out with that one...big ups. Shad's Place in Waterloo was a good good time. We'll be back there in March, you don't wanna miss it.
TOUR UPDATES 02/09/2003We just got done with the first two shows of the "The Time Has Come" Tour. Our CD Release Party at The Reverb was sold out. The crowd rocked the house from start to finish. On Saturday we played in Illinois. Our opening act got kicked out before the show even started cuz they all weren't 21. That sucked. Sorry to Sllaf Radec and fans who made the journey for no reason.
